Published February 14, 2024

Goldsboro, NC — February 14, 2024 — Haithcock, Barfield, Hulse & King, PLLC is proud to announce a donation of $2,000 to support the City of Goldsboro Fire Department’s second annual Hook and Ladder summer camp. The weeklong camp aims to educate and engage local youth aged 8 to 13 on important safety topics such as fire behavior, pool safety, and bicycle safety.

Attorney Bryan King, a partner at the firm and volunteer firefighter with the Jordans Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, along with Paralegal Heather McAlduff, a volunteer with the Summer Camp, presented the check to the Goldsboro Fire Department on February 14, 2024.

The donation will help the department reach its goal of raising $4,000 to cover the costs of shirts, meals, snacks, drinks, and supplies for the camp participants.

“As a volunteer firefighter myself, I understand the importance of educating our youth about fire safety and emergency preparedness,” said Bryan King. “We are thrilled to support the Goldsboro Fire Department’s efforts and honored to contribute to this impactful initiative.”
