Worth Timothy Haithcock Sr. is a distinguished retired attorney who served Wayne County for 41 years. A Wake Forest University alumnus and 1969 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, he was a central figure at the firm then known as Barnes, Braswell & Haithcock. He was recognized for decades as a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation law. His retirement in 2015 concluded a career defined by mentorship and service, with many attorneys in the region crediting him for helping raise them in the law. Alongside his wife, Karen, he has supported the Wayne Community College Foundation and scholarship initiatives. He is also an established agriculturalist who founded a 10-acre pecan orchard in Wayne County and served on the board of directors for the North Carolina Pecan Growers Association.
